Experimenting doesn’t hurt.. does it?
Saturday, this afternoon, I went in front of my computer and drew my sketch from last night. I tried experimenting using Corel instead of Adobe. Again, it’s my first time using Corel, and my conclusion for Corel today is HARD! They have a lot of brushes, and it’s like painting in a real canvas. Ah..! I’m such an amateur with this kind of things. I was using a small canvas, so again making the details was such a pain. I’m such an idiot. I should have known T_T But coloring using Corel was so much fun that I want to challenge myself more by finishing up my drawing. Yep, I’m not done yet. Well, it is somewhat bittersweet, sometimes it’s fun but then sometimes… I know it would be hard because it’s my first time, and I always want to be challenge so.. there.. I like how the paints mixed with other colors whenever I stroke upward. The icon in this post is the drawing that I am currently painting. I am not done yet with the eyes and the eyebrows, but I like how the mouth is painted. I spent about an hour and a half doing that, and I have to stop because I need to go out. T_T I don’t like it when I am seriously doing something and then my schedule for that will be over, and I have to do something else or I have to go out especially when I am studying or drawing or coding a layout.

So that’s the skecth up there. It’s pretty much different on how I paint it, well that’s always the case for me because I am an amateur, so there’s nothing new. hehehe.. but I like the painted version more than the skecth lol.. I actually have a pencil sketch for this, before I sketch it again in the computer. I was planning on scanning it, but I got lazy. T_T The face in the pencil sketch that I did last night is much much more different than this one. His eyes on that [the image above] image is actually BIG! Well, when I finished this artwork, I will scan or take a picture of my first drawing from my sketchbook.
FINAL FANTASY DISSIDIA!! I often see the game trailer in tv, and I want to buy and play it!! But unfortunately, I don’t have money and I don’t have a PSP.. I just have a DS and they don’t have it there.. boo hoo.! PSP is much much better and much much expensive. I am not a gamer addict, but I play games from time to time. It’s not just the game that I like about FF, it’s also the ART and GRAPHICS. I want to draw like that, cool poses and skinny muscles and buff men! And not just the anime version, I am aiming for the digital versions of them which they look more like a person than a cartoon. Semi realistic art I must add. And then and then, I will began to code them for them to move.. ahh~~~ that’s my goal.. I want to program and design my own dream game or go to outer space and make my own harem.. lol..
I haven’t updated my other website yet, well maybe tomorrow or before my school starts.
My Sculpture done early 2009
until I realize that I was actually making it.

Have you tried making a sculpture by hand and by using chisels? The first one was done with metal strings and sculpy. From my sketch, the boy was suppose to have a hat, but then I realize, no person will wear a hat while playing the violin. First time is usually hard because you don’t have any idea what you are doing, so of course I was having a hard time, but then after you have finished something by your hand, it feels so great that you will cherish the thing that you made. I do of course. As an artist, even though you see a lot of people better than you, you always have to accept what you can make and stay with that. That’s what I have learned as I grow, I met a lot of people with better understanding with art while I just stick with my own knowledge and study and improve by myself.
Some people asks me: “how do you color your artworks?” and “how do you do that?”. To tell you the truth, I don’t have a specific way to do my artworks nor color them. I am actually bad at coloring traditionally, and I am lazy waiting for my paintings to dry, so sometimes, my traditional paintings end up smudgy that I have to re-do it again. I am one of those kinds of people who finishes their works by one sitting. As of now, I am very much delighted to do my artworks digitally because I don’t have to buy or to clean my materials ^^ Whenever I paint traditionally, I usually end up with a lot of paints on my hair and my arms and clothes, that’s why I prefer to paint using acrylic [ those cheap ones ]. Like the plaster sculpture on the right. I painted it with acrylic but I did it for weeks.
The sculpture on the right [ the smiling moon ] was inspired from the anime Soul Eater, but I change a lot of stuffs because I don’t want to copy the same image. I was really careful doing that because I don’t want to break my plaster and I want it to end the way I want. It’s my first sculpture ever!!
Gentlemen

I first sketch The Architect [ the drawing on the right ] two days ago, and it end up the way I want though it looks a bit like a manga drawing which I am now changing. I aim to draw a more realistic drawing like the drawing in the left. Well, for now, I am joining both styles: the manga style and my original style. I am still learning so I think it is ok. The drawing: A gentleman riding his horse was drawn yesterday. I was reading Persuasion by Jane Austen last night, and I just felt like drawing after some hours of reading. I change how I draw the eyes because I wanted my drawing to look more like a human than a semi-realistic. This is my first time drawing a horse, so pardon the horse please. hehehe.. I really adore the stories from the Victorian era especially those romance stories. *blush* I like his hat, I haven’t seen a hat like that in person, and I would like to see one for real.
I like both of my drawings, but I would like to know your opinion about it.
I already found my drawing style with little boys, but my style in drawing men are still drawn differently. I am currently aiming to have my own style in drawing men which I plan to achieve soon.
