Digital Arts: Animation
It’s been a while, yeah? This spring, I will be starting to take Digital Arts course major in Animation. I got accepted in my dream school last month, well, I actually applied for a different course at first which is Computing. But, I decided to change my course because my dream is to be in the Game industry as a designer and programmer. Yes yes, I am not just an anime/manga addict, I am also a bit of a geek. I was actually inspired with the games that I love so much since I was young which are from Square Enix. ex. Chrono Cross, and I got hooked up with the current art/animation of Final Fantasy version Dissidia. [currently playing this game]
Requirements for the course includes High School Diploma, English 12 (C+), interview with a digital arts advisor, and portfolio of 6-10 artworks. It is a good thing that I already have a lot of artworks from my sketches, traditional paintings to digital. The interviewer was really nice to me too. Digital Arts majoring in Animation studies both 2D and 3D animation and Flash and Photoshop and other Softwares. These studies will be compatible in working for TV/Movies, game, and other.
However, after I finished this digital arts course, I plan to continue the computer course that I first applied, so it will take time before I get my degree.. hehehe.. Well, I just hope everything goes well.
My heart is in arts and computing, so I really hope that I will be able to reach my goal in life. It will take hardwork, determination, and prayers to be able to reach it, and currently, I am on it.

Omigosh, I remember being absolutely obsessed with the theme music for the Playstation game, LOL.

Goodluck on your goals! I believe that you can do it! Just like you, I’m really into art. I have a lot of artworks made by my hands, but as much as I want to post them online, I can’t, because I have limited resources, especially after the flood.
But here’s to all of us who have big dreams and goals in life! Cheers!

I super envy you, you know that? I am so pathetic in drawing or any kind of arts for that matter, I feel almost sorry for myself.
You’re so lucky.
I hope you reach all of your goals and ambitions. Just believe and work hard.

That’s great that you got into your dream school! Congrats! That’s cool that you’re going to study Animation. I really wanted to do that too back then, but I went the Computer Science route and ended up staying there. I still wish I did some animation or game design stuff. Good luck with all of that!
