My Sculpture done early 2009
until I realize that I was actually making it.

Have you tried making a sculpture by hand and by using chisels? The first one was done with metal strings and sculpy. From my sketch, the boy was suppose to have a hat, but then I realize, no person will wear a hat while playing the violin. First time is usually hard because you don’t have any idea what you are doing, so of course I was having a hard time, but then after you have finished something by your hand, it feels so great that you will cherish the thing that you made. I do of course. As an artist, even though you see a lot of people better than you, you always have to accept what you can make and stay with that. That’s what I have learned as I grow, I met a lot of people with better understanding with art while I just stick with my own knowledge and study and improve by myself.
Some people asks me: “how do you color your artworks?” and “how do you do that?”. To tell you the truth, I don’t have a specific way to do my artworks nor color them. I am actually bad at coloring traditionally, and I am lazy waiting for my paintings to dry, so sometimes, my traditional paintings end up smudgy that I have to re-do it again. I am one of those kinds of people who finishes their works by one sitting. As of now, I am very much delighted to do my artworks digitally because I don’t have to buy or to clean my materials ^^ Whenever I paint traditionally, I usually end up with a lot of paints on my hair and my arms and clothes, that’s why I prefer to paint using acrylic [ those cheap ones ]. Like the plaster sculpture on the right. I painted it with acrylic but I did it for weeks.
The sculpture on the right [ the smiling moon ] was inspired from the anime Soul Eater, but I change a lot of stuffs because I don’t want to copy the same image. I was really careful doing that because I don’t want to break my plaster and I want it to end the way I want. It’s my first sculpture ever!!
